Process Hacker is a system utility that manages processes and services.
This system tool displays all the processes that are being performed in the computer and highlighting with colors to indicate the kind of process. Those processes are categorized in Own, System, Service, Debugged, Elevated, Job, .Net, Packed/Dangerous, Suspend threads and GUI threads; and it can be enable or disable anyone of them to allow more visibility and administration of the current processes.
It shows detailed information of each process just by double-clicking on it. Detailed information allows to get further data as Statistics, Performance, Threads, Token, Modules, Memory, Environment, Handles and Services in a tab arrange to provide quick access and watch all these information in a single window.
Besides, this tool shows the Windows Services, and they can be managed and monitored from it. It displays the current services list showing basic information as Description, Type, Status, Start Type and PID. By double clicking on any service on the list it will open the Service window where information about this service will be provided and also some can be changed.
This system utility also offers other tool included with the program. CSR Process is a tool that will display the processes running in the computer and it allows seeing hidden processes.
Its GUI is easy and friendly to user with nice graphical interaction and good detail on information. Its installation process is simple and easy to perform; it will require Framework 2.0 or later to install. Its documentation is included with the utility and it describes the terminology and use of the program.
Process Hacker runs in Windows XP (SP3)/Vista (SP1) platforms to get all tool’s features. |
